Vintage early McCoy yellow ware pottery hanging basket planter, circa 1920s–1930s. This attractive unmarked example features a textured basketweave-style lower body with a molded floral and scroll design around the wide upper band.
Three factory-made holes around the upper band accommodate hanging chains or cord, while four molded feet allow the planter to sit securely on a surface.
The warm mustard-yellow glaze has wonderful variation and character typical of early utilitarian art pottery.
Measures approximately 7.5" diameter x 5" tall.
This listing is for the planter only. Plants, flowers and other decorative items shown in digitally staged photos are not included.
Good vintage condition with expected age-related glaze and surface wear, crazing, small glaze imperfections and scattered marks. Wear and glaze loss are visible along the rim and feet.
The visible line/ridge on the interior is smooth to the touch and is a manufacturing feature in the pottery, not a crack.
No cracks or major structural damage observed. Please review the original photos closely as they are part of the condition description.
