Up for auction is this TIMEX Marlin men's wristwatch from 1969. Ref. 2117 with the M25 manual wind mechanical movement.

This Marlin has been serviced by me, and is currently running well - keeping good time for a vintage watch. The date indicator works as it should. I have tested it for 3 days on the desk and for about 10 hours on the wrist.

This is not a minty/museum piece watch, so I will not throw around a lot of superlatives about how beautiful it looks. It's an honest and well working watch :) Please study the pictures as they are an important part of the description. It has wear to the case with scratches and small dings to it. Some of these are visible on the bezel. Wear is also evident especially on the back edge of the watch, where there is some pitting. Some wear to the underside of the lugs as well. Overall though it looks very nice on the wrist! 

The crystal is crisp and clean with no major scratches. 

I have fitted a NOS Timex original crown as the old one was very worn. 

The dial is also clean apart from a couple of small "spots" near the 4 o'clock marker. Hope this is visible in the pictures.

Although the dial says "Waterproof" I would not trust the water resistance of a 57 year old watch. So please don't take it for a swim :)

Fitted with a new 18-mm brown leather strap of good quality - very soft, so it won't need any break-in period :)

Measurements: Dia. 33.6mm not counting the crown, and 9.4mm thick including the crystal.

As with most vintage watches I can not guarantee for the timekeeping of the watch. I will however never send you a watch that is not working at the time of shipping.

All in all this TIMEX Marlin is a true classic watch, and looks great on the wrist imho. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
