Pen is an authorized limited edition of 1000 reproduction of a 1922 safety pen. with certificate of authenticity dated 2-11-1997.

Pen is a safety fountain pen, after removing the cap, the nib is extended by turning a knob at the base. The nib must be retracted before putting the cap back on.

Pen appears to be a medium nib but I cannot be certain. Nib says 18 carats on it, paper says "18 carats gold nib flexible thickness 15/100"

According to paper, 700 black silver pens were created. This pen appears black with gold color diamond or crossed filigree and has a snake clip.
