Vintage 1970 Heinrich Lorenz violin, labeled “Handgemacht” and “Made in West Germany.”
The violin was recently serviced/tuned up by a luthier and has been personally played and tested following the service. It is playable.
Includes a Görlich-stamped bow that has been re-haired, plus a fitted vintage hard case with red plush interior.
The violin retains an attractive reddish-brown finish with figured wood visible on the back and sides. It has four strings, a four-fine-tuner tailpiece and chin rest.
Cosmetic wear from age and use is present, including scattered scratches, scuffs and finish marks. The case also has considerable exterior wear, including scuffing, scratches, edge wear and age-related tarnish/oxidation to the metal hardware.
No obvious major body cracks were observed in the supplied photographs.
