Basic functions tested and working: the unit powers on with the speed indicator lighting up, the platter spins up and holds both 33 and 45 RPM, and the fully automatic start/stop mechanism moves the tonearm out, lowers it and returns it to the rest correctly. This is a quartz-controlled direct drive automatic deck with anti-skating and the memo-repeat function, and it retains its hinged dust cover, rubber mat and 45 RPM adapter. Cosmetically the silver plinth is in good overall shape for its age, with light scuffs and small marks along the front edge and around the power and speed buttons, fine scratches and a few dark spots on the brushed aluminum platter rim, and the acrylic dust cover shows scratches, hazing and some yellowed adhesive residue near the hinges; the underside has scattered dust and marks on the black base. Please note that no headshell, cartridge or stylus is included, so a headshell with a cartridge will be required to play records. Please note: this unit is designed for Japanese AC 100V. A step-down transformer is required for use outside Japan.
