Radio shows were first syndicated on reel to reel tape, later on LP stereo discs, then CD's and now digitally. Collectors can no longer get their hands on this quality material so the ones that are available will keep going up and up in value. These were never intended for public use & most were destroyed or returned to the manufacturer after use, so they're very difficult to find.
The Complete History of The Rolling Stones was Originally Broadcast from August through December, 1989 and hosted by Dan Williamson. This rare CD is part of a 20 disc radio program that chronicles the Band's musical history from the beginning up to the show's broadcast date in 1989.
This episode, Hour 9 takes a look at "Let it Bleed" while the band exhibits a great affinity for the country & delta blues sound. We then follow The Stones to Australia where Mick decides to make the film "Ned Kelly".
The cue sheet details the show's track list and timeline. The memo from Charley Brandt features the Media America logo. The disc is stored in a generic cd sleeve. This is a great item, perfect for any Rolling Stones collector!
PLEASE NOTE: This auction is for Disc 9 only - not the entire 20 cd radio show. Listing includes a cover letter from Charley Brandt as well as the cue sheet.
This disc is being sold from one collector to another. No rights are given or implied.
