This MSD 6AL-2 ignition control provides capacitive-discharge ignition with a digital processor and built-in two-step rev control. It is designed to connect to nearly any 12-volt negative-ground distributor system and accepts Hall-effect, points, and magnetic-pickup trigger inputs.

Its cast-aluminum housing contains digital circuitry that delivers up to 535 volts of primary voltage and up to 135 mJ of spark energy. The unit provides dual rev limiters for over-rev protection and launch-limit control, with four rotary dials allowing adjustment in 100 RPM increments.
