Original vintage The Navy League commemorative medal featuring crossed flags, crown and anchor design to the front.

Reverse inscription reads:

Founded January 1895
First President
Admiral of the Fleet
Sir G. Phipps Hornby
G.C.B

Approximate diameter: 30 mm excluding suspension loop.
Weight: 8.16 g including suspension ring.

Appears to be bronze or a similar base metal with an aged brown patina. The suspension ring remains attached.

Good clear detail to both sides with age-related wear, surface marks and patination throughout. Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

An interesting late Victorian British naval historical piece associated with the early years of The Navy League, founded in 1895.

Used antique condition with expected wear and patina from age. Uncleaned.
