Original copper-alloy decorative horse harness boss or mount in the form of a scallop shell.

A particularly attractive example with well-defined radiating shell ribs and a scalloped outer edge. The reverse retains a substantial central fixing stud, indicating that the piece was originally mounted onto leather or another harness component.
