Up for auction is a vintage, highly collectible, preserved piece of agricultural history: an authentic vintage South African copper milk can. The milk can has a soldered rectangular plate on the front reading: "EIENDOM VAN WELTEVREDEN JERSEY MELKERY" (Property of Weltevreden Jersey Dairy), tracing its historical lineage back to early farm estates in Paarl, South Africa.
Material: Solid heavy-gauge copper construction.
Branding: Original raised Afrikaans provenance / property plaque with highly legible stamping.
Dimensions: Stands approximately 7 ¾ inches tall (excluding the swing handle)
Very good used vintage condition. Has a very small ding, as shown in the last close-up picture. I have not tried to open or remove the lid. Has vintage patina.
The Milk can shown in the pictures goes to the winning bidder.
