This vintage religious pendant necklace features an openwork, floral starburst design crafted from silver-tone base metal with textured/twisted wire accents. At the center sits a genuine mustard seed encased in clear resin or glass against a light green backdrop, accented with a small faux pearl. The back of the cabochon features the biblical scripture from Matthew 17:20: "'If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed... nothing shall be impossible unto you.'"

Mustard seed jewelry became popular as inspirational keepsakes throughout the mid-20th century, particularly from the 1960s through the 1970s.
