Historic and iconic 29 cm Bleuette doll created for the famous French girls' magazine La Semaine de Suzette (Gautier-Languereau). This all-composition version was manufactured in France by SFBJ starting in 1933.
Head & Facial Features:
Material & Markings: Molded composition head with the clear size digit « 1 » impressed at the base of the neck (above the neck attachment hole).
Face & Expression: Expressive face featuring an open mouth with visible upper teeth molded in relief.
Eyes: Fully functional blue sleeping eyes with original physical eyelashes (a rare and desirable feature compared to painted-lash versions).
Wig: Original brown hair wig glued to the pate.
Body & Construction ("Jambes à encoches"):
Body Type: Fully articulated body made of composition and wood pulp.
Notched Legs: Features the authentic notched leg joints at the top of the thighs/hip area, allowing Bleuette to sit naturally.
Markings: Size number « 2 » marked on the back between the shoulder blades (softly impressed, visible under angled light).
Finish: Original patinated finish showing natural age.
