The Story of Sister Tally
I am reluctantly releasing "Sister Tally" from my collection. I acquired her from a clearance at a shuttered convent in Ireland a few years ago. The air in the room where she was kept was freezing cold, despite it being mid-July.
From the moment I took this home, the atmosphere changed. It became heavy, expectant.
Look closely at the photos, specifically her pose and her small wire-frame glasses. That pose is not accidental.
The Haunting Activity
Sister Tally is a "Watcher." Through research and sessions with a local medium, we believe the spirit attached to this vessel was a stern infirmary matron in the 1940s. This clean purse reminded her of herself. She was obsessed with order, silence, and rules.
The activity is subtle at first, then escalates:
This is the most chilling part. I can hear change shaking at night.
Poltergeist Activity related to Noise: Sister Tally hates chaos. If my television is too loud, the volume will turn down on its own. If my dogs are barking, small objects will fall off shelves near them to startle them into silence.
Auditory Phenomena: In a dead silent house, you will hear the distinct rustle of heavy fabric (like a habit moving) and occasionally a sharp, hushed "Shhh!" sound if you are talking too loudly on the phone.
Movement: I have not seen her walk, but her head turns. I will leave for work with her facing left, and return to find her facing right, towards the door, waiting for me.
Why I Am Selling
I respect Sister Tally, but her energy is too oppressive for my current living situation.
She needs a keeper who understands disciplined spirits, perhaps someone with a quiet home or a dedicated spirit room where she can oversee things without interfering with daily life.
