1958 (May 13), Queen Elizabeth II Out-District Definitive Composite Airmail Cover from Mullins River (DPO) to Lindfield, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia via Belize City. Addressed in manuscript to "J. S. Gibson / 7 Highgate Rd / Lindfield / Sydney / Australia / N. S. W." on clean cream wove commercial envelope, with dark blue printed "BY AIR MAIL / PAR AVION" etiquette at upper left. Originating from the historic coastal river-mouth settlement of Mullins River in the Stann Creek District, situated north of Dangriga (late-1950s population approximately 150 to 250 residents). Formerly an active 19th-century fruit-exporting port served by an early rural colonial postal agency designated "Mullins River"; following severe hurricane devastation, economic decline, and the centralization of regional postal routes under Dangriga, the postal agency was decommissioned and permanently closed, elevating it to Dead Post Office (DPO) status. Franked across the face with a spectacular seven-value definitive set run of the 1953–1962 Queen Elizabeth II pictorial definitive issue comprising 1c green & black, 2c orange-brown & black, 3c violet & deep brown, 4c green & brown, 5c scarlet & black, 10c blue & slate, and 15c purple & green, complemented by the 25c orange-brown & blue (total 60c philatelic triple airmail rate). Adhesives are neatly cancelled by clear impressions of the double-ring circular date stamp "MULLINS RIVER / 1.30 PM / 13 MY / 58 / BRITISH HONDURAS". The reverse flap features two additional dispatch strikes of the Mullins River datestamp flanking a sharp double-ring transit strike of "BELIZE / 2. - PM / 19 MY / 58 / BRITISH HONDURAS" applied six days later.
