2x Very Good Vintage Skirts for Formal and/or Evening Dress dated to the 1970s

These 2 skirts came to me with a number of antique items several years apart many years ago (hence, the outdoor photos for one and indoor photos for the other). Because they are so similar in their cut and style, I decided to let them go together. I would think that they date to the 1970s judging by the cut, colour and fabric - slim, straight line cut. No label on either skirt.

The first skirt is made of a horizontally striped black and yellow gauze with a canary yellow nylon? lining. It closes on the back with a zip and hooks and yes. This is also in good, wearable condition. I noticed a tiny hole in the lining though (see photo) and a small spot on the lining also - it ought to go through a quick wash cycle.

The second skirt is made of a heavy satin type fabric - it has a sheen to it and feels soft to the touch. It is a pale yellow with black vertical wavy and zigzag lines. It is not lined and closes on the side with a zip and hooks and eyes. It is structurally in very good condition, but it needs a wash before it can be worn - I found a couple of marks (see photo). and the inside of the hem is dusty.

The skirts are almost identical in size (except the horizontal striped one has a somewhat wider circumference).

The skirts are a size UK 8 (EU 36-38, US 4), but please check the waist measurement below (I use M&S size charts to determine sizes):

They measure as follows (when lying flat):

Length: ca. 42.5" 

Waist: 13" (ca. 26" all around)

They weighs around 750g together.
