Estate sale find, the gentleman who owned this collection worked for the Homestake Mine for many years. 

The Homestake Mine closed in 2002, but for many years before then it was the largest and deepest goldmine in the western hemisphere producing around 40 million ounces of gold during its operation. It was a central hub and a big part of the "wild west" and the gold rush in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

At the time of this posting I have around 70 of these pictures/antique deeds etc from this collection, and am listing them as I have time (keep checking back!) old Deadwood and Lead city aerial style photographs, old railroad pics, an old funeral service picture from what I believe to be the FAMOUS Mt Moriah Cemetery along with old death certificates with will and testament executor transfers of gold mine shares, original stock exchange gold mine share purchases, AND original correspondence to the Hearst owners from various Esquires. Super cool history!

This is QUITE THE COLLECTION, and, in my opinion, totally fabulous.
