Original 1908 Medill High School graduating-class composite photograph from Chicago, Illinois.
This large period display features dozens of individual oval student portraits arranged around ornate lettering reading:
“Class ’08. Medill High School.”
The lower-left corner bears the visible studio mark “Kite Chicago.” Medill High School opened in Chicago in 1898 and was located at 14th Place and Throop, giving the photograph strong Chicago educational, genealogical and neighborhood-history appeal.
The mounted photograph measures approximately 20 inches high by 13¼ inches wide. It is being sold unframed and without glass.
Condition is consistent with an original photograph more than a century old. It has age toning, discoloration, scattered dark spotting, surface marks and abrasions. Several portraits have visible spots or blemishes. The mount has edge and corner wear, including small frayed or separating areas. Writing and staining are present on the reverse.
The portraits, school identification and studio mark remain clearly visible. Please review every photograph closely for the exact condition.
