This is a vintage Art Deco or Mid Century Modern display stand/easel.

I can’t be certain, but I would estimate it dates circa 1940s or 1950s.

When closed, the easel measures 6 1/8 inches tall x 3 3/4 inches wide at the front legs (15.5 cm, 9.5 cm). When opened, it stands 5 3/8 inches tall (13.6 cm). The front extended piece measures 4 3/8 inches wide (11.1 cm). The two pins protrude out 3/4 inch and are 3 1/4 inches apart (1.9 cm, 8.2 cm).

I’m just not sure if this is made of bakelite, lucite or even acrylic. Please use your judgment.

I would probably call the color burnt orange, with red scattered all about.

The piece has some light scattered surface wear including tiny scratches and scuff marks. Nothing very noticeable though. The two pieces at the top are slightly curved, as is the stand itself. Personally, I think it all just tends to blend in with the overall look of the piece.

It weighs 2 ounces (56 g).
