Antique Silver Tea Caddy
A good example of an antique silver tea caddy dating from the late 19th Century. It has a lobed shape with ornate floral decoration and the lid has an acorn finial. It is a good quality piece with a gilt interior and it weighs approximately 160g.
It is a continental piece, most likely German, and is stamped to the base with various marks including 800 denoting .800 grade silver.
It is in good condition for its age and is certainly a usable piece. There are a few light surface marks and some small dings and the finial is bent (See photo) but overall it displays well.
Approximate Measurements:
Height : 4 1/4" (11cm)
