JOZSEF VERTEL (1922-1993), ''BUDAPEST'' ETCHING, TITLED, SIGNED & DATED
Up for sale this unique etching by the famous Hungarian artist JOZSEF VERTEL depicting the famous part of the city, the Danube with the Parliament on one side and the Castle Hill on the other side with the famous bridges. Jozsef Vertel graduated from Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 1947and was known for the beautiful Hungarian postal stamps he designed. This piece of art work is signed and titled, the off white paper around the etching has some water marks but the etching is in excellent condition. It measures approx.10-3/4'' tall by 16-3/4'' long framed and the etching is approx. 6'' tall and 12-1/2'' long. The frame has some nicks but the art work is important but I have to mention the frame.
