This is a really adorable set of six aluminium kitchen storage tins with lids. Each with a copper label, moulded with the French word for the suggested contents.
I believe they are from the 1930s or 40s and the surface wear and design seems to be consistent with that.
The bases are impressed with the makers logo which says:
GEKA
Aluminium Pur
PARIS
We have:
Sucre - Sugar
Farine - Flour
Café - Coffee
Chicorée - Chicory
Thé - Tea
Epices - Spices
They look really wonderful lined up together on a shelf or dresser. They would make a marvellous display in any kitchen, especially if you have a french style vintage or shabby chic theme. They may also be a great prop for any period production.
In VERY GOOD vintage condition. There are a few bumps and scuffs, commensurate with their age and some of them are discoloured inside, as you might expect with canisters of this age, all shown clearly in the photos. Please see all the photos and remember they are over 70 years old, pre-owned and pre loved.
