The CE-2, a legendary pedal known as BOSS's first compact chorus pedal, was released in 1979.

Inheriting the sound of the CE-1, this model was redesigned into an easy-to-use compact size and remains a highly popular vintage chorus pedal.

This unit is Made in Japan, Black Label specification. Based on the serial number, it is believed to have been manufactured around 1980. Its appeal lies in the warmth and lustrous modulation unique to analog BBDs, adding depth to clean tones and creating a natural spaciousness when used after distorted sounds.

With only RATE and DEPTH controls, it offers a simple yet musically cohesive sound in any setting, demonstrating why it has been supported by so many guitarists for so many years.

While it shows signs of use commensurate with its age, it is in perfect working order.
