Description

Released in 1977, this is a landmark model, the first compact effects pedal series in BOSS history and the world's first overdrive pedal. It was a beloved pedal among both professionals and amateurs until production ended in the 1980s.

OVER DRIVE

The OD-1 overdrive pedal provides a mild and natural distortion (overdrive) that preserves the guitar's original tone, similar to a tube amplifier turned up to full. Unlike intense distortion, it fully expresses subtle nuances of picking and fingering techniques, and doesn't disrupt the balance of the ensemble. It is widely used and considered the original overdrive pedal in the world.
