This vintage Catholic charm bracelet features two religious medals attached to a link chain with a spring-ring clasp. Crafted as a devotional keepsake for a young Catholic's milestone sacrament, the bracelet measures approximately 6.5 inches long and weighs 8.7 grams. The smaller charm depicts Pope John XXIII on the front (inscribed "JOANNES XXIII PONTIFEX MAXIMUS") with the Virgin Mary and Child on the reverse side marked "ITALY". The larger charm depicts a First Communion blessing scene with "MY FIRST HOLY COMMUNION" stamped on the reverse, along with a "STERLING" hallmark. Manufactured in Italy during the late 1950s to mid-1960s—corresponding to Pope John XXIII’s papacy from 1958 to 1963—this piece is made from sterling silver components and base metal/silver-toned chain links. A fun detail for collectors: Pope John XXIII convened the historic Second Vatican Council (Vatican II) in 1962, making souvenir medals bearing his likeness popular personal relics from that transformative era of Church history.
