Bandai Tamashii Nations celebrates the origins of Saint Seiya with the long-awaited return of the legendary SAINT CLOTH SERIES, approximately 40 years after its original release. First launched in the late 1980s, this hugely successful toy line captivated an entire generation of fans and eventually became the predecessor of the Saint Cloth Myth series.
Leading this historic comeback is Pegasus Seiya with his First Bronze Cloth, recreated to preserve the distinctive proportions and nostalgic appeal of the original toy while taking advantage of modern manufacturing technology. Bandai analyzed and scanned the original Cloth, body and Object Frame, while Seiya's facial features have also been refined to maintain the appearance of the vintage release with today's production quality.
Just like the classic toy, the Pegasus Cloth can be equipped onto the articulated figure or removed and assembled onto the included Object Frame, allowing collectors to display the armor in its iconic alternative configuration. Selected armor components are made of die-cast metal, retaining one of the signature features and distinctive feel of the original Saint Cloth Series.
This special Cloth Box Limited Edition also brings back the legendary Saint Cloth Chest as a first-edition limited bonus. Its design has been recreated by studying surviving materials from the original campaign item, with an assembly presentation deliberately inspired by the vintage release.
