| 02 | STRIP-DOWN & CLEANING The engine is disassembled and relevant components cleaned for inspection. |
| 03 | DETAILED FAILURE REPORT We provide a report outlining the condition found and the identified or suspected cause of failure, where determinable. |
| 04 | COMPONENT ASSESSMENT Relevant components are inspected and measured against applicable specifications to assess reuse, machining or replacement. |
| 05 | PRECISION ENGINEERING As required: head and block machining, crankshaft work, liner installation, piston and connecting rod inspection and turbocharger work. |
| 06 | REASSEMBLY The engine is rebuilt using appropriate replacement components, gaskets, seals, bearings and timing parts as agreed. |
| 07 | ENGINE INSTALLATION The rebuilt engine is refitted to the vehicle, with fluids and filters replaced as required. |
| 08 | FINAL TESTING Initial start-up, warm-up checks, diagnostics and road testing where appropriate. |
Inspection may reveal original components that cannot safely or reliably be reused. Additional parts could include pistons, crankshafts, cylinder heads, connecting rods, turbochargers and other engine components.
No additional work will be carried out without your approval. Any additional costs will be discussed before authorisation.
Qualifying engine rebuilds are covered by a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty, subject to the written warranty terms, exclusions and applicable running-in and servicing requirements. Full terms are provided with qualifying repairs.
