Brand new hand signed Deluxe Leather Bound limited collector's edition of Buzz Aldrin's best-seller "Encounter With Tiber". It is signed by astronaut Buzz Aldrin, member of the Apollo 11 moon landing mission and the second human to step on the Moon. The book is new, unread, and in great condition, partially sealed in the original plastic packaging (someone at the auction house opened it to photograph the signiture and book number).
Signed by the famous NASA astronaut on the limitation page, it also includes the signed and dated certificate of authenticity. This is book number #928 of only 1500 copies ever produced by The Flat Signed Press. The Flat Signed Press is a luxury book publisher producing leather-bound signed books with the same qualities as the better known Easton Press books. Aldrin, one of manned space flight's pioneers, has helped create a stunning, possibly prophetic novel of the future of space exploration. One of only 12 men to ever set foot on the moon. Autographs of these American Heroes are expensive and highly desirable. Buzz, being the 2nd man on the moon, is among the most expensive of this group. This is certainly a great gift book and a real interesting collectible. These books were signed in 2004 at the Offices of Buzz Aldrin in Santa Monica, CA. Very last books direct from publishers personal inventory. A picture of him signing these books is included.
This book is mint condition and includes the certificate of authenticity as pictured. Dubbed Spine Accented With 22 karat real Gold, Satin Ribbon Page Marker, Distinctive Cover Design , Gilded Page Edges To Protect Against Humidity, High Quality Acid - Free paper, Smyth-Sewn Pages, Silk-Moire Endleaves.
Buzz Alrdin is currently 96 years old. Not to sound morbid, but reality is that the value of this is sure to go up once he passes away. The reason I am selling this is I already have a few items signed by Aldrin which I intend to keep those (just not a fan of fiction books).
Note: picture of Aldrin on the moon is not included.
