Offered here is an original 1853 Minority Report of the Select Committee on Resolution of Miner's Convention of Shasta County (California), Submitted March 17, 1853. Measures 5.75 x 8,75. Includes seven pages of very well detailed information regarding the Immigration of Chinese to the mining camps and that the Law of 1851 which allows them to be deported back to China should be upheld in Shasta County Mines. The seven page dissertation goes on to detail how damaging the Chinese Mine Workers were to the American economy, taking jobs and money away from miners of other ilk.
