Superb trio of Sitzendorf porcelain Monkey Band figures, exquisitely hand-painted in the Dresden Rococo tradition. Each figure is individually modelled and detailed with gilt trim and expressive features, echoing the celebrated Meissen Affenkapelle (Monkey Orchestra) of the 18th century.

Monkey playing a French horn

Monkey playing a flute

Monkey playing a bassoon or clarinet

Each piece bears the Sitzendorf crossed-swords mark to the base, along with impressed numbers and decorator marks. Likely early–mid 20th century production.

Height approx. 10–11 cm (4–4.25 in).

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minor age wear only; no visible restoration. light age wear see pictures

Highly collectable  these figures capture the wit and craftsmanship that define the Dresden porcelain revival.

Posting I use recycled boxes and eco bubble wrap and brown paper I will pack well I do not charge for this - will combine postage - however this is combined on weight and size Items sent via a Royal mail service. I will update when the item has been sent  

I try and post as soon as possible but cannot send every day or over the weekend.
