Condition: If you're looking for a pen that you can almost guarantee none of your friends have, this is a very interesting and a pen with a very interesting story. When I first saw the name, Huona, on the body, I just assumed it was American but nothing with this name came up in the USA in the 20th century. But then I noticed it has a French 18ct gold nib on it. American pen companies weren't using 18ct gold on nibs when this pen was made but the French were. So, after searching first in the United States for this brand, I moved on to France and could not find anything and i did dig deep. But then I discovered there was an Algerian jeweler doing business under Huona that was active when this pen would have been made. In the 1920's Algeria was part of France so it very much makes sense that an Algerian jeweler would have been selling French made fountain pens with his store name on it. I cannot prove this 100% of course but after one heck of a lot of research, mostly in French, the evidence points strongly in this direction. So you have to wonder how many of these pens there are still out there. There can't be many, if any. This pen is pre-owned and an exceptionally clean condition. It just has very light micro scratches on it from age. No dents, dings, chips, cracks, wear or damage. Excellent color. Crisp, clear chasing. Crisp, clear "HUONA" imprint. No personalization. Exceptionally clean nickel lever and clip with no wear. The "WARRANTED 18CT 1E QUALITE" nib is exceptionally clean with just light micro-scratches. The tip is very clean with just a little bit of wear and writes very well. The pen has a new sac installed in it and fills and writes very well
