Beautiful handmade studio stoneware pottery mug featuring a striking reactive glaze that creates a mountain or forest landscape effect. Glaze blends deep blues, greens and terracotta red tones with unique drip patterns. The base is marked with an incised maker's mark. Likely made in USA with pottery wheel technique.
Measures approximately 5" high.
Excellent vintage condition. No cracks or chips. As with a lot of handmade studio pieces, the base shows natural firing and trimming characteristics, giving the base a not perfectly round shape and a slightly irregular form. Glaze does not extend fully to the bottom foot ring. Small glaze skips and firing marks near the base due to the handmade process. Does not affect usability!
