The AMPLIFY 206 DIRECT expands the 2 series with a purist 6-channel option for DSP-based setups, covering a vast range of applications in modern vehicles. Thanks to its fully bridgeable architecture, the amplifiers can be flexibly used in 3-, 4-, 5-, or 6-channel operation. With their high output power and compact Class-D design, they enable both fully active 3-way front systems (with upstream DSP) in 6-channel mode and classic full-range setups in 5-channel mode – consisting of front and rear speakers plus a powerful subwoofer. In 5-channel mode, 4 x 100/190 watts RMS at 4/2 Ω are available for the front and rear speakers, and 1 x 380 watts RMS bridged at 4 Ω for the subwoofer. Overall, the power amplifier delivers power outputs of 6 x 100 watts RMS at 4 Ω, 6 x 190 watts RMS at 2 Ω or bridged 3 x 380 watts RMS at 4 Ω.
The 206 DIRECT thus offers a level of flexibility and a special focus on efficient and transparent amplification that is unique in its class.
