The AMPLIFY 206 DSP expands the 2 series with a particularly versatile 6-channel option, covering an enormous range of applications in modern vehicles. Thanks to its fully bridgeable architecture, the amplifier can be flexibly used in 3-, 4-, 5-, or 6-channel operation. Its high output power and compact Class-D design enable both fully active 3-way front systems in 6-channel mode and classic full-range setups in 5-channel mode – consisting of front and rear speakers as well as a powerful subwoofer. In 5-channel mode, it delivers 4 × 100 / 190 watts RMS at 4 / 2 Ω for the front and rear speakers, and 1 × 380 watts RMS bridged at 4 Ω for the subwoofer. Overall, the power amplifier delivers power outputs of 6 × 100 watts RMS at 4 Ω, 6 × 190 watts RMS at 2 Ω or bridged 3 × 380 watts RMS at 4 Ω.

With its integrated 8-channel signal processor, the 206 DSP offers a level of flexibility rarely found in its class. It combines compact dimensions with impressive dynamics, clean headroom, and excellent controllability – ideal for high-performance front systems, complex OEM multi-channel architectures, and setups where a single amplifier needs to handle as many tasks as possible.

AMPLIFY 206 DSP – Full-fledged HELIX DSP power in a compact 6-channel amplifier
The AMPLIFY 206 DSP combines a powerful 6-channel Class D amplifier with a full-fledged 8-channel HELIX DSP – bringing the full DSP expertise of over 15 years of HELIX development to the compact AMPLIFY 2 series. At its heart is a 64-bit fixed-point audio DSP, flanked by high-quality AD/DA converters and the fast, stable ACO platform. This combination forms the technical foundation that also distinguishes our larger HELIX DSP systems: precise signal processing, high computing power, and a consistently reliable architecture. As a result, the AMPLIFY 206 DSP offers audio performance and a range of functions that are rarely found in this form factor and class – positioning it within the HELIX DSP amplifier portfolio as a particularly powerful yet highly efficient price/performance solution.

The latest version of our in-house software, DSP PC-Tool 6, is also available. Its signal-path-oriented interface allows for clear, intuitive navigation through the entire setup, while precise EQ tools, flexible filter options, and time alignment enable targeted, vehicle-optimized sound tuning. The integrated RTA supports analysis directly in the vehicle and facilitates fine-tuned adjustments. Additional features such as Virtual Channel Processing and HELIX sound effects —including Augmented Bass Processing, RealCenter, and more—ensure clarity in complex setups and offer creative options for expanding the soundstage.
The result is a compact, all-in-one solution that combines HELIX sound quality, flexibility, and technical sophistication in an exceptionally efficient package.

ACO – Advanced 32 Bit CoProcessor Platform
High-speed computing power not only in the signal path – the exceptionally powerful 32-bit ACO platform handles all control tasks and provides a crucial speed boost, especially in data communication with our DSP PC-Tool software, but also in lightning-fast switching between up to ten possible sound setups. But ACO offers much more – fantastic sound effects such as Augmented Bass Processing or RealCenter, dynamic processing such as Dynamic Loudness Control (DLC) or Remote Tone Control (RTC) are implemented, as is the new Advanced Input Signal Analyzer (AISA) for easy analysis and compensation of input signals from factory sound systems that already include sound settings.

DSP Features
TuneEQ
TuneEQ is an extremely flexible and exceptionally easy-to-use function for automated frequency response correction. A single measurement per audio channel or channel pair with a suitable measurement microphone (such as our AMI Tuning Kit) is all it takes for TuneEQ to automatically and precisely adjust the equalizer to the desired reference curve. TuneEQ utilizes the full functionality of the parametric equalizer, including center frequency, Q factor, and gain. And because the necessary, highly complex calculations run in the background, TuneEQ also saves a significant amount of time when tuning your sound.

RealCenter
The "RealCenter" function is a proprietary algorithm from Audiotec Fischer that emphasizes the monaural information of the left and right front channels to create a unique center signal. Unlike conventional methods that simply sum the channels, this system dynamically controls the center signal based on the stereo information content of the left and right channels. This means that the center channel will not reproduce a signal if only the left or only the right channel is delivering an audio signal. With conventional algorithms, the center channel would only be 6 dB quieter in this case. Audiotec Fischer's "RealCenter" thus enables a unique, wide soundstage – optimal for both driver and passenger! The disadvantages of a conventional center channel, such as an intrusive, narrow spatial soundstage, are finally a thing of the past.

Augmented Bass Processing
Audiotec Fischer's proprietary "Augmented Bass Processing" consists of two revolutionary sound features: "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" and "SubXpander". These are specifically designed to dramatically improve the bass response of subwoofers.

"Dynamic Bass Enhancement" ingeniously combines maximum deep bass foundation and high maximum sound pressure level – regardless of the music genre or radio settings. Depending on the input signal, "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" amplifies the lower frequency range and simultaneously varies the cutoff frequency of the subsonic filter. The result is significantly more powerful, deeper bass reproduction at low and medium volumes without the risk of mechanically or electrically overloading the subwoofer at high volumes. It's simply fascinating what kind of bass performance is suddenly possible. 

For those who want the bass range to be even deeper and "blacker," the "SubXpander" can be activated. This adds subharmonic tones to the fundamental frequencies in the range between 50 and 100 Hz.
