Vintage c.1970s T Carson Original Oil Painting Paris Street Scene Signed

A charming and highly decorative original oil on canvas by T. Carson, believed to date from circa the 1970s, depicting a bustling Parisian street with colourful shopfronts, figures and impressive domed architecture rising through the atmospheric skyline.

Painted with wonderfully expressive, textured brushwork and areas of impasto, Carson uses a soft palette of blues, greens and creams contrasted with flashes of red, yellow and turquoise. The loosely painted figures and busy storefronts give the work a wonderful sense of movement and Parisian street life.

T. Carson is associated with 20th-century Impressionistic-style European and Parisian street scenes. Other works attributed to the artist feature recognisable Paris landmarks including Notre-Dame, the Arc de Triomphe and Sacré-Cœur.
