The 15-2355 / 14080616 AC Delco / GM OE HVAC is a pressure switch designed to protect your vehicle's air conditioning system.

The ACDelco 15-2355 / 14080616 is highly vehicle-specific and fits a vast lineup of classic General Motors vehicles spanning from the mid-1980s to the late 1990s. This pressure switch was predominantly utilized from 1985 through 1993, with a few specialty commercial, heavy-duty, or fleet carryovers stretching up to 1996. This specific part was heavily embedded in the GM R12 refrigerant system era, right before General Motors completely transitioned its fleet to R134a. It is primarily compatible with vehicles utilizing the older R12 refrigerant systems or early R134a transitions and was a staple for GM's square-body and early GMT400 platform utility vehicles.

In General Motors' tracking catalog, 14080616 is the legacy factory part number that was directly superseded by and swapped over to 14090900. Both factory GM engineering numbers correspond directly to the exact same AC Delco 15-2355 physical unit. General Motors frequently supersedes, combines or updates its parts catalog structure based on vehicle models and part evolution. Depending on the exact year and configuration of your vehicle, you may also see the switch swap to alternative service part configurations. This is a New Old Stock (NOS) and OEM-specific component, it's best to verify compatibility against your exact GM factory parts manual.

Because automotive manufacturers frequently modified climate control wiring options year-over-year, we highly recommend verifying your fitment before purchasing:
    1. Look at the plug pins: The 15-2355 features a 2-terminal layout. Check your original harness connector to ensure it uses a matching 2-pin female socket.
    2. Cross-Reference OE Labels: Check your old switch for stamped numbers 14080616 or 14090900.

Replacing this switch is usually a straightforward process. Because most GM models include a safety schrader valve directly beneath the mounting point, you can typically unscrew and replace the switch without losing your freon or evacuating the refrigerant system. If you own a 1993 or 1994 transition-year vehicle, check under your hood. If your factory system still features R12 refrigerant charge ports (threaded switch adapters), this 15-2355 switch is your correct match. If your vehicle was built later in the model year cycle with factory R134a refrigerant (quick-disconnect ports), GM swapped the layout to alternate part threads.

**Schrader valve not included.
