Vintage Leather Bomber Jacket Lamb’s Leather Made in Italy EU Size 54 50”

A classic jacket in medium-weight lamb’s leather. Made in Italy.

Marked an EU Size 54 and measuring 25” across the chest, as in the sizing diagram. Please note that the 50” in the title is the jacket’s approximate chest measurement. It does not indicate that the jacket will necessarily fit like a jacket labelled as a Size 50.

In good overall condition, with fade, wear, marks and scuffs in places, as in the photos. There are some small cuts in the lower back, both of which appear to have been glued down. There are cloth pulls and pinholes in the jersey cuffs and hem. The cuffs and hem are a little dusty and could do with being beaten and washed.

This jacket has not been cleaned but has been ozone treated and is therefore in relatively fresh condition but, as with any vintage leather, will benefit from further airing.

Pre-owned leather items of this age often have a musty odour to them because of a combination of age, the fact that in their previous lives they may not have been regularly cleaned and because of their having been in warehouse conditions for a long period of time. While this musty odour is reduced by the ozone treatment we use, jackets most often retain some odour. Freshening a leather jacket up can be approached either through cleaning and airing the jacket at home or having it cleaned professionally. Airing leather to freshen it is best done in the dry outdoors in warm weather for a minimum of two days.
