This listing is for a 1929 Bronze Medal honoring the German Doctor & Rabbi Meyer Kayserling. This medal was designed by the Hungarian sculptor Aladár Gárdos, and has his initials just to the right of Kayserling's bust. This medal was issued on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
The Leo Baeck Institute and the Hungarian National Gallery each have an example of this medal in their collection. This medal measures 2 3/8" across and weigh 71 grams. It is in excellent condition.
Obverse: Pictures the forward-facing bust of Kayserling and is captioned "DOCTOR M. KAYSERLING 1829-1929" along with the artist's initials "AG".
