Antique Silver Milk or Cream Jug

Chester, 1923

A good example of an antique Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It is an elegant Georgian style design with a beautifully shaped handle, square foot and elongated spout with reeded borders. The jug is a large example and good quality, weighing approximately 189g.

It is clearly hallmarked for Chester, 1923 and the maker Stokes & Ireland.

It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and light signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
