Genuine Harley-Davidson Chrome 4-Channel Luggage Rack, Part No. 56465-86A.

This is the original-style Harley-Davidson accessory luggage rack designed to mount to the inside of the sissy-bar sideplates, giving a neat factory-installed appearance.

This particular rack was previously fitted to a 1987 Harley-Davidson FLST Heritage Softail and has been in storage since removal.

1986-later FLST, FLSTC, FLSTF and FLSTN Softail models

Fitment requires the appropriate Harley-Davidson sissy-bar upright and sideplates.

Important fitment notes:

• Does not fit FLSTS Heritage Springer models.
• Does not fit 1987–91 FLSTC models equipped with the stock production welded one-piece sissy-bar/sideplate assembly.
• Does not work with detachable sideplates.
• Some models/years require the appropriate H-D accessory sissy-bar upright and sideplates.

Please confirm P/N 56465-86A and your particular sissy-bar/sideplate arrangement before purchasing.

Condition

This is a very nice original used example.

The chrome remains bright and presents extremely well, particularly considering the age of the accessory. The rack is straight and the four original-style black channel end caps are present.

Both formed chrome mounting brackets are fitted, together with the mounting fasteners shown in the photographs.

There may be minor marks, fine scratches and other signs of previous installation, use and long-term storage, but overall presentation is excellent.

This is a genuine period Harley-Davidson accessory and would be particularly suitable for an early Evolution FLST/FLSTC restoration or period-correct motorcycle.
