Original dealer packaging is handwritten “Softail +8½"”, indicating this is an extended-length cable set intended for applications using taller or otherwise modified handlebars.

This is an earlier -03A version of Harley-Davidson's Multi-Fit braided cable kit. Later Harley-Davidson documentation lists the corresponding 56371-03B stainless cable kit at 38.5" length in the Softail/Dyna multi-fit cable range.
