This antique 1910 Arts & Crafts Art Nouveau hand tooled leather purse with a turn lock front is a unique vintage accessory perfect for film or theater props, as well as early 1900s reenactments. Also vintage car show accessory.

The brown leather material and hand tooled design give it a distinctive Arts & Crafts look of these early 1900s “shopping bags”

. Made in the United States, this purse is an original piece that embodies the Art Nouveau movement, making it a rare find for collectors or those looking to add a touch of vintage charm to their outfit.

Inside is a soft green suede, with attached coin purse and a pocket for the leather backed beveled hand mirror. The Frame is a silver black metal JEMCO frame with their patented Turn Loc clasp. Clasp works well.

The leather whip stitching seams at sides and hand strap are in excellent condition.

This is a very nice early 1900s “Shopping Bag” that blend the aesthetics of the art nouveau and arts and crafts period.

One of the photos shows this bag against the backdrop of early 1900s Linen Motoring or Car suit in another of my auctions. Take a look!
