This is a very attractive Staffordshire soup bowl with a light blue and white historical transfer scene with a stone bridge on ariver with a man fishing on the bridge, with a river with two small boats with people in them in the foreground on the water. Across the river are some buildings in the background, including a large steepled castle. The soup bowl is unmarked, but has an early pearlware body.
