Offered for sale is this 2007 (57 Reg) Smart Fortwo 1.0 Passion Coupe Petrol Automatic, finished in Silver.
This is actually a particularly nice example for its age and mileage and was borderline for us to prepare and retail. However, after taking into consideration its age, expired MOT, Category N insurance history and the cosmetic preparation/work that would be required to bring it up to our normal retail standard, we have made the commercial decision not to put the vehicle through our workshop for retail preparation.
It is therefore being offered through our Spares or Repairs category, without our normal retail warranty or guarantees.
The vehicle starts, runs and drives and, unlike some of our Spares or Repairs vehicles which receive only a short operational test, this vehicle was driven for approximately 20 minutes and reached speeds of approximately 60 mph.
During this limited road test, the engine started correctly and appeared to run well. The gearbox was tested in both automatic and manual modes, where it selected and changed through the gears correctly during our testing. Reverse was also selected and operated correctly.
The vehicle performed surprisingly nicely during the approximately 20-minute test, with no obvious knocks or bangs experienced during our limited road test.
Cosmetically, the vehicle presents reasonably well for a car of this age and mileage. There are some age-related exterior/cosmetic imperfections, which can be seen in the photographs and walkaround video.
