Before purchasing, please measure your deck height carefully to ensure the correct fit: If your deck height is below 73", choose an 8-step stringer. If your deck height is 73"–75", the 9-step stringer is the best fit. For deck heights between 75"–80", use the 9-step stringer and add a wood block at the bottom to adjust. If your deck height is over 81", choose a 10-step stringer.
