Antique Japanese tripod sentoku bronze censer, inlaid with shibuichi silver

Engraved makers mark on base translates from Japanese as, "Kyoto, Kuroda made" 

The body’s inlay of shibuichi silver in flat relief depicts cranes near a reedy riverbank on one side

Opposite side features a torii, or traditional arch, in the foreground of a nature scene with Mt. Fuji rising above. 

Legs are inlaid with a floral motif

Circa Meiji period (1868-1912)
