This is an amazing 1980's dress in great condition.
Really pretty floral print in pastel shades of aqua, peach and yellow on a white background. Elasticated at the waist, when you put it on you pull the elastic up to your waist and use the tie either side to secure it either at the front or back. This creates a lovely blouson effect above the waist.
The bodice is a very generous size...clothing was worn oversized in the 80's. It has loose raglan sleeves and a small button at the back of the neck.
The skirt however is quite fitted and creates a slim silhouette...please look at the measurements carefully to check that it will fit you. It is a vintage size 16 which tends to come up smaller than modern sizes but I would definitely say the top is very generous the skirt not so much.
If you have any questions about the sizing and fit please just ask...I will be very happy to help. Also bear in mind when looking at the length measurement that when you put it on you pull it up to tie it at the waist so therefore that shortens the dress length.
There are the original shoulder pads inside but the foam in them has turned to dust...I have left them in as they are part of the original dress but you may want to replace them with new ones. Made from 100% Viscose.
This dress is by Richards shops which was a very popular clothes shop in the 70's, 80's and 90's in the UK...now no longer operating.
