This kit was designed to increase speedometer life by cushioning the speedometer from vibration.
Application:
Harley-Davidson FL/FLH — retrofit for 1976 & earlier models; isolation system also used on later FL/FLH through 1984.
Harley-Davidson's original instructions supplied with this kit state that it was designed to increase speedometer life on 1976 and earlier FL/FLH models by cushioning the speedometer from vibration. The 67066-76 isolation system was subsequently used on later FL/FLH models through 1984.
The kit converts the speedometer mounting to an isolated arrangement using rubber grommets, mounting pins and an isolator strip around the speedometer.
