The Pathé Webo series, introduced in the mid-20th century, became one of the most respected compact 16mm cameras for serious amateur and documentary filmmaking. The “M” Reflex model features a reflex viewing system, allowing through-the-lens composition — a significant advance in accuracy and usability at the time.
With its robust metal body, mechanical spring-driven motor and distinctive industrial design, the Webo has enduring appeal among collectors of classic cinema equipment, mid-century industrial design enthusiasts, and filmmakers working with analogue 16mm film.
The inclusion of two quality lenses — including the fast Som Berthiot f/1.8 — adds versatility and desirability. The presence of the original maker’s leather case and instruction booklet further enhances collector interest.
