Offered is an outstanding 3-piece World War I American Red Cross training group belonging to Mrs. Willie Gilpatrick, consisting of her original American Red Cross Surgical Dressings manual, 27 pages of handwritten class notes, and her American Red Cross training certificate.

The lot includes:

• 1918 American Red Cross "Surgical Dressings" manual, approximately 5.5 x 8.5 inches, 30 pages, illustrated throughout with diagrams and official instructions.
• 27 single-sided handwritten class notes, measuring approximately 6.5 x 8.5 inches, carefully written during Red Cross surgical dressing instruction.
• Original American Red Cross certificate issued to Mrs. Willie Gilpatrick, documenting her participation in wartime Red Cross training.

This is far more than just the common manual. The handwritten notes closely follow the official instruction booklet and represent an actual student's classroom training during World War I. Together with Mrs. Gilpatrick's named certificate, the group offers exceptional historical and genealogical interest while documenting the vital home-front volunteer effort that supplied surgical dressings for wounded Allied soldiers.
