Original Harley-Davidson packaging describes this part as “COVER FTNK CONSOLE.”
Harley parts catalogues also identify P/N 61278-88 as the console door. This is the hinged cover/door in the fuel tank console which provides access to the fuel filler cap.
Fitment includes 1989–1991 Touring/FLT applications, including FLHT, FLHTC and related FLT models. Buyers should confirm P/N 61278-88 for their particular motorcycle before purchase, as Harley subsequently changed to P/N 61278-92.
The original cardboard packaging is heavily aged, crushed and shop-soiled from long-term storage, as clearly shown in the photographs. The part has remained in its original NOS package.
